The New York Times covers Evolving Forms in A Panorama of Design, its look at design-world events, products and people, published on 7 March 2025 in the paper's Design special section. Written by Morgan Malget, the entry runs under the heading Practical, No-Fuss Pieces Fit for an Evolving Family, and in the print edition under Adaptability.

It introduces Evolving Forms as the studio's first solo show and new collection, at St Vincents in Antwerp, built around an adaptable dining set: a console and two dining tables that can be arranged in nine different ways, with a stool, a bench and three chairs alongside, all in Scandinavian birch plywood.

The piece describes Mia Kim and Paul Trussler bringing their backgrounds in fashion and architecture to multifunctional furniture made to change with daily life, much of it first designed around the needs of their own young family.

Visitors were encouraged to use the pieces rather than admire them from a distance. Paul Trussler tells the paper the work is sturdy enough to invite handling, with nothing precious or fragile about it.

The writer plays on the studio's name, reading the work as practical and exact rather than clumsy. Mia Kim puts it simply: "We don't like to fuss around."

Evolving Forms ran at 13 Kleine Markt, Antwerp, until 23 March 2025.
