Milk Decoration publishes a piece on Evolving Forms, written by Salome Mathieu, while the show is still running at St Vincents in Antwerp.
It introduces the gallery as the one to see in the city, led by Henri Delbarre and Geraldine Jackman, and known for a sensitive and poetic curation of collectible design. The exhibition is described as an ensemble of multifunctional furniture drawn from the daily life of a couple who work together as well as live together.
On the work itself, the piece notes the studio's attention to modest and reclaimed materials and sets out the eight pieces in birch plywood: a console, two dining tables, a stool, chairs, and a bench that becomes the standout of the set. It reads the attention to the essence of the material against the practice of Donald Judd, and identifies the Five Points pieces as a reference to Le Corbusier's five points of modern architecture.
