Galerie Magazine lists Studio Goons second among eight collectible design shows to see worldwide in January 2025.
Galerie Magazine publishes 8 Collectible Design Shows to See in January, written by Ryan Waddoups. Studio Goons is listed second, alongside Nilufar in Milan, Demisch Danant in New York and Blunk Space in California.
The piece opens on the bench built hours before a dinner party because there was not enough seating, and reads that spirit forward into the studio's plywood work, describing it as combining a Judd-like reduction with open experiments in volume and form, often answering the founders' own needs as a couple raising a young family.
On the dining set, Mia Kim is quoted saying that considering the changing scale of their own family and friendships made multifunctionality an obvious source, less as a feature than as the reality of owning something for a very long time.
