Goons Simple Table Dining Set
Goons Simple Table Dining Set consists of the Simple Table and four Flat Pack Chairs.
The two pieces were designed separately and found each other. Four Flat Pack Chairs fit exactly around the Simple Table, and enough people asked for the pair that we now make it as a single configuration.
The Simple Table is a foundational piece that expresses the strength of our chosen material, birch plywood. The name speaks for itself. It is as simple to make, assemble and finish as it is to look at, and that simplicity is the source of its visual and physical strength. The table’s structure is hidden to emphasise the design’s straight lines and straightforward silhouette.
The Flat Pack Chair exemplifies our design language: angular clarity paired with an exact, understated playfulness. It was originally conceived for an exhibition in Los Angeles, engineered to fit into a flat pack box, travel internationally as a carry-on and be assembled on site. Later iterations have moved beyond those strict dimensions, but the qualities remain. Its exposed joints articulate both the method of fabrication and the chair’s spatial presence.
Together they make the clearest statement we have in one material: concealed structure on the table, exposed joints on the chairs, birch plywood throughout.
Size and finish are customisable, and both components are made to order. Each piece is also available individually.
