AD France, a seafront apartment drawn from Carlo Scarpa
AD France publishes a Knokke seafront apartment by Aurelie Penneman, with a Studio Goons Spill Table, Lounge Chair 01 and Original Stool .
AD France publishes Face a la mer, un appartement inspire par l'univers de Carlo Scarpa, written by Nicolas Milon, with photography by Alice Mesguich and styling by Aurore Lameyre.
The apartment is at Knokke-le-Zoute on the Belgian coast, a little over 110 square metres, inherited by thirty-something twins and turned into a weekend residence. The interior architect Aurelie Penneman built the scheme from a patinated bronze door handle in the shape of a pebble, combining organic forms, a seaside atmosphere and Italian 1950s style. The kitchen floor is Venetian glass mosaic laid by hand by an Italian artisan, tessera by tessera, after Carlo Scarpa.
A Studio Goons Spill Table, Lounge Chair 01 and Original Stool appear through the apartment. The piece describes the varnished Afrormosia as working perfectly with the coffee table and armchair designed by Studio Goons, as it does with the Pierre Jeanneret chairs.
