A commission from A brand, the Seoul-based label founded in 2016 and carried by more than 120 stockists across nineteen countries. For its 24SS buyers’ presentation in September 2023 the brand took a space in the Marais and asked the studio to furnish it, a mix of bespoke pieces and a selection from the existing catalogue.
The scope was the furniture and the way it organised the room. Buyers move through a showroom slowly and in daylight, reading garments at close range over an extended appointment, so the pieces had to shape circulation, give buyers somewhere to sit and work, and hold the room without competing with the collection. The layout was developed directly with the brand through drawings and images, then installed on site by the studio during the fit-out.
The set comprised the Simple Table in dark oak, Free plan Bench in oak, Truss Console Petit in butterscotch, Art Rocker in satin black, Form Stool and Form Entry Table in white wash, Entry Column in butterscotch, and End Arm Chair in wenge.
